IWC AS spreads joy to 10 deserving families for Deepavali

In the spirit of Deepavali or the Festival of Lights, members of IWC AS came together on 8 October 2025 to bring warmth and joy to 10 deserving families.

Deepavali, which means “a row of lights,” is a powerful symbol of light triumphing over darkness and good prevailing over evil. One of the most cherished traditions of the festival is the lighting of diyas or small oil lamps that brighten both homes and hearts.

President Ishka and members Solai and Tengku Maheran, took the initiative to bring joy to 10 deserving families. They distributed goodie bags - each filled with essential supplies. The items were chosen to help the 10 families enjoy the forthcoming festival, especially the cherished moments spent preparing and sharing festive delicacies with loved ones.

The handover ceremony was a touching reminder of the power of community and kindness. Smiles lit up the faces of the families as they received their gifts, and many shared their gratitude and appreciation. The atmosphere was filled with warmth, a true reflection of what the festival stands for.

“IWC AS is humbled to have played a part in lighting up their Deepavali,” shared President Ishka. “It’s moments like these that remind us how even small gestures can make a meaningful difference.”

This simple act of giving shines as a beacon of hope, reminding all that during times of celebration, the greatest joy comes from reaching out and uplifting others.
