High-Tea with YM Toh Puan Raja Dato’ Seri Utama Noora Ashikin Raja Abdullah, the wife of the Governor of Penang
It was a watershed moment indeed for the Inner Wheel Club of Butterworth led by President Dr Lalitha Ramasamy when members of the club had afternoon tea with Yang Mulia Toh Puan Raja Dato’ Seri Utama Noora Ashikin Raja Abdullah, the wife of the Governor of Penang, Tuan Yang Terutama Tun Dato’ Seri Utama Haji Ramli bin Ngah Talib, on Saturday, 15th November 2025.
YM Toh Puan, a lovely lady indeed, was warmly welcomed by twelve club members led by President Dr Lalitha. Club members were delighted to learn that she was familiar with Inner Wheel having attended several Inner Wheel functions in Ipoh and met up with members from Penang in the past. She listened with interest as Dr Lalitha discussed some of the projects the club had completed and planned to accomplish moving forward.
Over the sumptuous tea spread, YM Toh Puan gave suggestions as to some projects IWC Butterworth could undertake to further its community service initiatives. She also shared her experiences in aiding women and children through her involvement in several NGOs.
Club members were immensely taken up by her easy friendliness and down to earth demeanour despite her obvious accomplishments both in her personal capacity and as the wife of His Excellency, the Governor of the state of Penang.
YM Toh Puan graciously posed for photographs with club members and agreed for future meet-ups much to their delight. It was a lovely afternoon indeed spent with a truly inspiring and sophisticated lady.
