Back-to-school project

IWC AS had planned to personally hand over school-going essentials - a new school bag, stationery, socks, and vouchers for uniforms and shoes - to 10 deserving students as they prepare for the new school year. What was meant to be a joyful gathering at SJK (C) Chung Hwa Jitra however took an unexpected turn.

The sudden deluge in Jitra changed everything. Many of the selected students were unable to reach the school due to unsafe and impassable roads.

Determined not to let the situation stop IWC AS, seven members made their way to the school and met with Senior Teacher Mr. Khor to hand over all 10 sets. Six students were present to receive the set and Mr Khor gave the assurance that the contributions will be delivered to the rest of the students once it is safe.

While members missed the chance to meet all the children and their parents face-to-face, hope remains the same: that these small gestures bring some relief and encouragement as the students head into a new school year.

President Ishka thanked the school management and expressed her hope that the children will be able to appreciate and enjoy the contribution. It is fervently hoped that each bag, each set of stationery, and each small token of support reminds them that IWC AS cares.
