Orange the World awareness campaign



The Inner Wheel Club of Kuala Lumpur City Centre [IWCKLCC] successfully executed the powerful “Orange the World” Program on 10th December 2025 at the Elderly and Rehab Nursing Care Lecardia Primecare Centre.

This meaningful event was conducted as part of the global effort to end violence against women and girls. The Centre’s entrance, distinctively painted orange, provided an ideal an ideal and symbolic setting for the event.

The programme was distinguished by a wonderful display of fellowship and inter-club collaboration. We were honoured by the presence of President Sarojini and Diana from IWC KL North as well as President Rozina from IWC Bangsar.

The Event was hosted by Organising Chairman Datin Pearl Jai Mohan, President Jit and supported by dedicated club members.

We were warmly welcomed by Dr Andre, the Chief Executive Officer of Lecardia Primecare Centre and some of his staff, who attended alongside with his children, adding a delightful, family-oriented touch to the morning.

The members also participated in the Christmas Decoration Judging Event on floor one, three and four of the home. The central feature of the event was the constant curiosity from the patients, who repeatedly asked why the judging team was uniformly dressed in bright orange t-shirts. Members engaged with them, explaining that they were running an event to highlight the issue of violence against women and girls. This unconventional uniform proved to be a great success, sparking many friendly, positive and humorous interactions with the residents throughout the facility.

Following the successful execution of the purposeful program and warm fellowship session concluded as we gathered for a pleasant vegetarian lunch at the cafeteria located at the top floor of the nursing home.

The activity was a great way to bring up a serious global issue.
