Orange the World Outreach at Batu Caves, Selangor
In conjunction with the global Orange the World campaign and in recognition of United Nations International Human Rights Day on 10 December, the Inner Wheel Club of Selangor (IWCS) carried out a meaningful outreach initiative at the iconic Batu Caves, Kuala Lumpur. The activity aimed to raise awareness on the importance of creating a safer and more hopeful world for women and children.
As part of the initiative, 200 goodie bags containing juice, fruits and sweets were distributed to visitors and the public. In line with the campaign’s theme, the bags and their contents were thoughtfully prepared in vibrant shades of orange, symbolising hope, solidarity and a brighter future.
The outreach was further strengthened through the warm support of Inner Wheel Club of Kuala Lumpur North, led by President Sarojini and her members, reflecting the strong spirit of friendship and collaboration within the Inner Wheel community.
A delightful highlight of the day was an unexpected international connection when a visiting member from the Inner Wheel Club of Solapur, Rajasthan, India, happened to be touring Batu Caves. To commemorate this special encounter, a club flag was presented, celebrating the enduring bond of international friendship among Inner Wheel members.
