A gift from the heart



When the Inner Wheel Club of Pearl of the Orient sent out a call to all clubs to sponsor the purchase of dialysis chairs for Hospital Seberang Jaya, IWC AS did not pause to deliberate, and knew instantly that this was a cause close to the very soul of Inner Wheel.

Sponsoring a dialysis chair is never just about funding a piece of equipment. It is about dignity. It is about comfort during long, tiring hours of treatment. Most of all, it is a quiet but powerful declaration that our hearts are firmly rooted in humanity, compassion, and service - values that lie at the core of Inner Wheel’s noble ideals.

IWC AS came together with the Inner Wheel Club of Pearl of the Orient to sponsor one dialysis chair. At a special ceremony held on 10 January, President Ishka, Treasurer Nesa, and CC/ISO Padmini were present to witness a deeply meaningful moment: the placement of a label bearing the names of both Clubs onto one of the newly purchased chairs. It was a simple act, yet one filled with pride, gratitude, and purpose.

Members and guests were then invited on a tour of the Haemodialysis Unit, to interact with the patients. Those moments - shared smiles, gentle conversations, and silent understanding, touched everyone deeply and brought home the true meaning of service beyond words.

It was a heartwarming and humbling experience. IWC AS feels truly blessed to have been part of a sponsorship that so clearly embodies care, compassion, and hope for those who need it most.
