Mural painting project at SJKT Simpang


The Inner Wheel Club of Klang successfully carried out a meaningful community service project at SJKT Simpang aimed at improving the school’s health-related facilities and creating a supportive environment for students’ wellbeing. Upon the school’s request, a classroom was converted into a Bilik Kesihatan (Medical Room) to serve students who may experience medical emergencies or require first aid during school hours.

Prior to the project, the room lacked proper painting and visual identity to reflect its purpose as a medical room. Members of the Inner Wheel Club of Klang therefore undertook a mural painting initiative to transform the space into a more welcoming and suitable environment for students.

Purpose of the Project
The mural painting initiative was guided by several key objectives:
• To support SJKT Simpang by enhancing the functionality and appearance of the school’s Bilik Kesihatan.
• To create a friendly, calming, and positive environment for students receiving first aid or medical care.
• To promote awareness of health, care, and wellbeing through creative visual art.
• To strengthen community engagement and service through meaningful volunteerism by Inner Wheel Club members.

Highlights of the Activity
Inner Wheel members collaborated to design and paint a colourful mural that featured the Inner Wheel logo, medical-themed illustrations, and cheerful visuals. The artwork transformed the once plain classroom walls into a vibrant and visually engaging space.

The mural not only clearly identifies the room as a medical facility but also creates a comforting atmosphere for students who may feel anxious when seeking medical attention. The cheerful visuals contribute to a more positive and reassuring environment within the school.
