CNY Cheer

In celebration of the Chinese New Year spirit of generosity and compassion, the Inner Wheel Club of Petaling Jaya carried out three heartfelt charitable initiatives to support a struggling family, the elderly, and individuals with special needs. These activities reflect the club’s continued commitment to service, kindness, and community care.

CNY Cheer 1 – Assistance to Jasmine and Family, Puchong

The organizing team, visited Jasmine and her family at their home in Puchong to understand their circumstances and extend support. Jasmine is a single mother raising four children, most of whom face medical challenges, while one daughter is healthy.

During the visit, club members personally presented Angpows to the children and Jasmine’s mother as a gesture of festive goodwill and encouragement. To further assist the family, members also accompanied Jasmine and her children for grocery shopping, helping them purchase essential household items and food supplies.

This meaningful visit brought comfort and hope to the family, enabling them to celebrate the festive season with dignity and joy.

CNY Cheer 2 – Grocery Donation to an Elderly Home

Continuing the spirit of sharing, the club donated food groceries to the elderly residents of Than Hsiang Buddhist Welfare Association, located in Old Town, Petaling Jaya.

The contribution was warmly received and helped support the daily needs of the residents, ensuring they too could feel the joy and blessings of the festive season.

CNY Cheer 3 – Chinese New Year Lunch for Residents

The club also organized a special Chinese New Year Lunch for the residents of PJ Caring Home, which provides care for more than 60 mentally challenged male and female residents.

The festive lunch created a joyful and inclusive atmosphere, giving the residents an opportunity to enjoy a delicious meal and celebrate the occasion in the company of caring friends.

The Inner Wheel Club of Petaling Jaya extends its sincere gratitude to all members who generously contributed their time, effort, and donations to make these initiatives possible.

Guided by the Inner Wheel values of friendship, service, and international understanding, the club looks forward to continuing its charitable outreach and making a positive difference in the lives of those in need in the coming year.
