District Chairman’s visit
It was a wonderful afternoon where business and celebration came together. Members arrived dressed in their Valentine’s best, filling
the room with colours, smiles, and warm greetings. Lovely floral headgear attached to hairpins or hairbands, made by Judy was seen on every lady’s hair. This added a festive touch, bringing more cheer and charm to the already party atmosphere.
Before the club meeting, District Chairman, Jillian Estrop, one of our own members met with President Sally, Treasurer Arvind, ISO Grace and CC Dana to review and advise on the clubs reports and accounts. DC Jillian commended the Exco for their dedication, transparency and teamwork, especially praising the team that stepped up to shoulder the Secretaries’ duties while she is on leave. Her encouraging words were truly appreciated.
Another new member was inducted, Kahini Previta Raj. At the last club meeting, we had inducted Judy. ‘Welcome’ Judy and Kahini to the Inner Wheel sisterhood.
The meeting followed with a sumptuous lunch and the cutting of the birthday cake by none other than our Founder Member, Datin Seri Bhajan.
Then came the games, brains being put together, creativity coming in, debates on best or correct answers, and an Ang Pow each from President Sally, for luck.
Evergreen songs like ‘Roses are Red’ and Diana were sung. Members were seen singing, dancing and tapping their feet to the music.
An official DC visit, a club meeting, great food, games, singing and dancing. That’s how the 14th of February was celebrated by IWC of Penang.
