A memorable visit to IWC Bangkok


When members of IWC AS heard that a new Inner Wheel Club had been established in Bangkok - the very first Inner Wheel Club in Thailand, there was an immediate buzz of excitement.
“We are so close!” members exclaimed. “Shall we visit them and establish ties?”
Soon, contact was made with the Charter President, Luningning (Ning). Following a flurry of exchanges, the date was set for 27 February 2026.

Four members of IWC AS, ISO Padmini, Secretary Shantha, Treasurer Nesamani, and Member Yasheni took a flight to Bangkok to mark this very meaningful occasion. They were warmly welcomed at the hotel by Charter President Ning and three of her members. After formal introductions, bannerette exchanges, and the sharing of gifts, CP Ning surprised everyone with a thoughtfully prepared packed dinner, topped off with the much-loved mango sticky rice for dessert.

The evening unfolded in a spirit of true Inner Wheel fellowship, filled with shared values, and lively conversation, concluding on a high note, with everyone singing the ‘Standing Together’ Inner Wheel Song, followed by Auld Lang Syne.

It was truly a memorable and enriching meeting, strengthening the bonds of Inner Wheel friendship across borders. IWC AS now looks forward to welcoming members of IWC Bangkok on a return visit, to warmly reciprocate the hospitality experienced on 27 February 2026.
