Celebrating Chinese New Year with SMK Jinjang, Kuala Lumpur
On 11th February 2026, the Inner Wheel Club of Kuala Lumpur (IWCKL) joined the vibrant Chinese New Year celebration at SMK Jinjang, Kuala Lumpur, bringing together community leaders, members, and hundreds of enthusiastic students in a joyful display of culture and unity.
The programme began with a luncheon at Dewan Bestari attended by Guest of Honour YB Lim Lip Eng, Member of Parliament for Kepong, together with Senior School leaders, PIBG representatives, and IWCKL members. The celebration continued in the School Hall with an energetic Lion Dance performance, lively cultural dances, and a harmonious choral presentation that filled the hall with festive cheer. The traditional “Lo Sang” tossing ceremony symbolised shared wishes for prosperity and success in the Year of the Horse.
The highlight of the event was IWCKL’s meaningful contribution to the school. Our esteemed Honorary Member, Yang Amat Berbahagia Toh Puan Dato’ Seri Hajjah Dr. Aishah Ong, presented a RM13,400 cheque — raised through the dedicated efforts of IWCKL members — to the SMK Jinjang Chinese Cultural Club in support of the promotion and preservation of Chinese culture among students.
In addition, IWCKL proudly presented 8 refurbished laptops to the school for students’ use, equipping them with essential digital tools to enhance their learning experience.
It was a heartwarming celebration that reflected strong community partnership and IWCKL’s ongoing commitment to education and cultural preservation. May the Year of the Horse bring continued prosperity and blessings to all.
