Fellowship with Inner Wheel Club of Taiping.


On 18 and 19 April, five members of the Inner Wheel Club of Alor Setar (Ishka, Shantha, Nesamani, Yasheni and Padmini} set out on a road trip to Taiping - a place rich in history and one that boasts of many firsts.

While the journey included special prayers at the Sri Ayenaar Temple, a delightful shopping spree at the Bollywood GLAMZ boutique, and the enjoyment of Taiping’s many historical landmarks, the true highlight of the trip was the fellowship with members of IWC of Taiping.

On 18 April, members had the pleasure of meeting President Viji and fellow members of IWC of Taiping over tea. The spirit of service continued the next day, as members joined a food fair in support of Sekolah Semangat Maju (SSM) Taiping (Perak Association for the Intellectually Disabled). It was a humbling experience to contribute towards a meaningful cause, and a donation was made to support the School’s ongoing efforts. Further, in a gesture of friendship and appreciation, IWC of Alor Setar presented a small token to each of the 22 members.

This trip was a beautiful reminder that Inner Wheel is not about staying within the comfort of our own Club, but about reaching out, connecting, and building lasting friendships with like-minded women. It is through these shared experiences that we truly uphold the ideals of Inner Wheel.

As we returned home, IWC of Alor Setar looks forward to a return trip by members of IWC of Taiping as well as many more such journeys to explore, to serve, and to grow together, while forging even stronger ties across Clubs.
