Club Training Workshop and Fellowship
23rd March, a bright and purposeful morning saw members of the Inner Wheel Clubs of Penang and Pearl of the Orient gather for a day dedicated to sisterhood, followed by learning. At 10.30am we kicked off with the clubs mingling over local kueh and bee hoon before we transitioned into our respective clubs for our monthly meetings. Once the agendas were concluded, we regrouped for lunch at 12 noon, and more fellowship setting a joyous tone for the insightful training workshop that followed.
The Inner Wheel Club Exco Training Workshop which started at 1.30pm and ended at 3.30pm was a resounding success, led by visionary DC Jillian Estrop. The dynamic action packed session empowered incoming officers with essential skills, transparent protocols, and strategies needed for leaders to elevate our clubs. The atmosphere was charged with the energetic and “can-do” spirit DC Jillian is known for.
The workshop covered the essentials of understanding roles and responsibilities of each EXCO, effective club management, including
clarifying constitutional duties and financial responsibility. During Q&A
session, DC addressed challenges with pragmatic solutions and infectious optimism. We engaged ourselves in interactive problem solving, where scenarios were presented. This allowed the participants to brainstorm solutions to the problems.
The session concluded with a renewed sense of purpose. Participants left not just with added information, but with a clearer roadmap and knowing we will always have the unwavering support of the District Leadership.
