Serving Kindness: MMCH “Ho Chiak” Food & Fun Fair 2026



The Mount Miriam Cancer Hospital’s (MMCH) “Ho Chiak” Food & Fun Fair Event was a resounding success. Bringing together community spirit and delicious food, the vibrant charity fair featured over 70 stalls offering an incredible array of local favorites, home-cooked meals, snacks, desserts, plants, flowers, toys, and accessories.

The Inner Wheel Club (IWC) Pearl of the Orient, Penang was proud to participate once again in this meaningful annual anchor project to support the hospital’s welfare fundraising efforts.

Freshly Made with Love & Care

Our dedicated members poured their hearts into setting up and running our food stalls. To ensure every customer enjoyed our treats in the freshest state possible, our food items were prepared freshly just before the event. Our stall proudly featured a wonderful mix of local delicacies and essential support items:

Healthy Innovations: Vegetable and fruit skin mantou (steamed buns).

Penang Favorites: Traditional Tambun Pneah biscuits.

Tasty Snacks & Refreshments: Convenient biscuit packs and refreshing mineral water.

Patient Comfort Essentials: High-quality adult diapers to directly assist patient care needs.

A Heartwarming Contribution

We are absolutely thrilled to announce that our stall brought is more than RM 3,500 in sales & contributions to the MMCH Fund.

In line with our commitment to the cause, the cost of all items was fully absorbed by the Club and our generous donors. This means 100% of the full proceeds have been donated directly to the Mount Miriam Cancer Hospital to support the welfare of cancer patients navigating their recovery journeys.

Turning Compassion into Action

An event of this scale is only possible through collective effort. We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to all our wonderful members and donors who volunteered their time, energy, and resources to make this event such a triumph.

We are incredibly proud to support this vital project year after year. As we look forward to exploring even more ways to uplift those in need, we walk away from this year’s fair reminded that together, we can make a significant impact and bring hope to many lives in our community—one step at a time.
