Sunshine Hour at Perak Palliative Care Society

Inner Wheel Johor Bahru members have been a part of The Women Mentors Circle – Train the Members of the Inner Wheel Club of Ipoh East (IWCIE) led by IPDC Vimala recently collaborated with volunteers from the Perak Palliative Care Society (PPCS) to bring cheer to palliative care patients during the society’s monthly Sunshine Hour at the PPCS Centre. The session featured singing, dancing, fun quizzes, batik painting and a delightful tea spread, creating an atmosphere of warmth and togetherness.

Beyond the activities, the programme provided patients with meaningful social interaction, emotional support and an opportunity to momentarily set aside their health challenges. The smiles, laughter and active participation of the patients served as a reminder that small acts of kindness can have a profound impact on emotional well-being, helping individuals feel valued, connected and less isolated in their journey. Through this collaboration, IWCIE reaffirmed its commitment to spreading compassion and making a positive difference in the community.
