Empower and Connect
Inner Wheel Johor Bahru members have been a part of The Women Mentors Circle – Train the Trainer for Community Impact, a mentoring-based capacity-building programme designed for women who are actively involved in community work or aspire to mentor, train, and support other women in safe, ethical, and sustainable ways. This programme equips participants with practical mentoring frameworks, facilitation skills, and programme design tools so they can confidently initiate and lead women-focused community initiatives within their own networks.
Members went through about sixteen hours of training under Salinee Ganeson, and HRDC accredited trainer and certified Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) facilitator with extensive experience in community engagement, women empowerment, and social entrepreneurship.
The training culminated in an event held on 27th June 2026, at New York Hotel. The target participants for this event were women undergoing issues and require guidance to navigate through life with clarity and strength. President Santhi worked with other NGO’s namely, EWRF, I Care Community Centre and Jewel to obtain profiles of women who can participate in this program. Th workshop had activities ranging from topics on generational traumas and guided sharing to activities like basic Pilates and womb healing introduction. Trained members spoke to the participants providing guidance under a structured framework during the breakout session. The program was held from 9 am to 5pm with two tea breaks and a sumptuous lunch. It was a new experience for all members who will now continue this mentorship helping the participants to empower themselves to go through the life with clarity.
