5 June 2014 (Thursday) IWC Kuala Lumpur. Scholarship Programme.
The IWCKL’s 24th project is a joint community project with SEGI University, Kota Damansara. This year’s Scholarships Awards Presentation Ceremony was held at the 11th General Meeting of the Club. Five full scholarships for diploma courses for two and a half years each were awarded to five students who have just completed their SPM in 2013. The tuition fees for the diploma courses are fully sponsored by SEGI University and the Registration & Miscellaneous fee by IWCKL. The total cost of the five scholarships is RM198,525.00, of which RM28,125.00 is sponsored by IWCKL. This is the sixth year that this Scholarship Programme has been carried out by IWCKL. To date, a total of 30 students have been able to pursue their tertiary education through this Scholarship Programme. The scholarships are open to all deserving and needy students. The minimum academic qualification is 5 credits in the SPM examinations and the income of the family must not be more than RM3,000 per month. Click to view photos.

30 May 2014 (Friday) IWC Ipoh East. Visit to the Perak Society for the Promotion of Mental Health (PSPMH)
The PSPMH built a home set against a backdrop of the limestone hills of Tambun near Ipoh City, a cool and refreshing abode for about 100 women residents who are recovering from mental illness and would need a therapeutic and caring environment to help them in their adjustment to life.  IWC Ipoh East visited the residents to spend a morning with them and distributed gifts. 2 May 2014 (Friday) IWC Subang Selangor. DHL supports “Help Save a Child’s Heart” Project
Ladies from IWC Subang Selangor dropped by at DHL to collect a stunning load of books generously donated by the staff of DHL. When DHL heard of the Club's "Help Save A Child's Heart" Project, they were very keen to lend a helping hand and alerted their staff to contribute books. They set up a huge collection box and the overwhelming response speaks for itself! Funds collected from the sale of these books help towards supporting a child with heart conditions to pay for surgical expenses. Click to view photos.

The ladies from the IWC Subang Selangor took the children from Pusat Jagaan Kanak-Kanak Satu Jiwa, Kg. Kayu Ara for a joy-filled trip to the national zoo. The trip was thoroughly enjoyed by the children - a fun and educational experience. These children are either homeless, abandoned or have parents from poor socio-economic background. 3 April 2014 (Thursday) IWC Kuala Lumpur. 9th General Meeting
The 9th General Meeting of IWC Kuala Lumpur was held at the Demo Theatre of Sunway Le Cordon Bleu, Malaysia, Sunway University. The Club was indeed very honoured to be accorded this privilege. Le Cordon Bleu has been synonymous with culinary excellence worldwide. The association will definitely raise the bar in culinary education in Malaysia and South East Asia. After the Club's General Meeting, the programme for the day continued with a tour of the state of the art kitchen facilities used for the classes. Members were treated to a cooking demonstration by Cuisine Chef Instructor David Morris. This was followed by a sumptuous buffet lunch. All in all, members and guests had a good time, with good food and tips on culinary techniques - it was indeed a perfect day at Sunway Le Gordon Bleu Institute of Culinary Arts. 11 March 2014 (Saturday) IWC Ipoh East. One Malaysia English Language Camp (III)
IWC Ipoh East organised a third English Language Camp for schools in the Kuala Kangsar District. Together with teachers and volunteers, fun activities were organised to promote the learning of English among 100 rural school children. 22 February 2015 (Saturday) IWC Subang Selangor - District Chairman's Club Visit
DC Datin Seetha visited the club accompanied by District Editor Linda Lim. The highlight of that day was the personal testimony of Ms Shahlini, who underwent corrective heart surgery at Fortis hospital, Bangalore, India. Her treatment was fully funded by IWCSS through various fund-raising projects organized by the club. Shahlini is now leading a normal and healthy life. Click to view photos.

22 February 2014 (Saturday) IWC Subang Selangor - Visit to a home for terminally ill in Batu Arang, Rawang
After the general meeting of the club, President Jega, District Chairman, Datin Seetha Lakshmi, together with some members paid a visit to the home for the terminally ill in Batu Arang, Rawang. The caretaker of the home had requested for food items like Milo, bedsheets and pillows. CC Mallika reported: "We were touched and saddened to see such people who live in isolation and yet make the best of what they have. We hope to have brought some joy into their lives." A second English Language Camp was organised by IWC Ipoh East at SJK(C) Kuala Kuang, Chemor, with the help of the the District Education language officer, 20 teachers and 15 volunteers for 100 students from rural schools of the Kinta Utara District. 15 February 2014 (Saturday) IWC Ipoh East. One Malaysia English Language Camp (I)
IWCIE organised an English Language Camp at SJK(C) Mambang Di Awan, Kampar, for 100 rural children from Malay, Chinese and Tamil schools in the Kinta Selatan District. With the theme “Fun with English” , a language module was composed by the club members using songs, dances, games and other interactive activities to encourage school children to learn English. October 2013. IWC Intan KL. Visits to WAKE Shelter, a home for HIV orphans. Members of the club visit the WAKE shelter every month and celebrate an orphan’s birthday each time. In addition to this, we also carry out a different workshop or activity each time. So far, we've done organic soap making, Christmas cards and a dance workshop with the children. October 2013. IWC Intan KL. Christmas Card project at WAKE Shelter. One of the main projects in which we've been working on is a "Christmas Card" project, in which we aim to help raise money towards buying the children some new computers. The card designs were fully done by the orphans themselves and they had a great deal of fun at each of the different art stations that we set up for them on that day. We'll be sending the cards to print soon and will be selling the cards through different channels from November onwards. Perhaps we could even sell some through the Innerwheel330.org.my website? Members of IWC Subang Selangor treated 7 children and three caretakers to the Lantern Festival held in USJ, Subang in conjunction with World Peace Day. The children are from Pusat Jagaan Kanak-Kanak Satu Jiwa, Kayu Ara. They were treated to dinner, Lion dances and a variety of performances by local school children.

17 August 2013 (Saturday) IWC Subang Selangor. “HELP SAVE A CHILD'S HEART" project - a book sale project, at the Taj Curry House in SS 12 in Subang Jaya. By setting up this book rack, the club intends to raise funds from the sale of the books which will go towards helping children with congenital heart disease, who require immediate surgery and cannot afford the high cost of treatment. August 2013 IWC Kuala Lumpur bringing cheer to the hungry this Hari Raya. With the extra funds raised for the Hari Raya festive project, the IWC KL supplied food and provisions to the poor residents of Kampung Medan, Kuala Lumpur. This was a project initiated by Honorary Member, YAM Tengku Puteri Puan Sri Datin Seri Norzehan, who has carried out similar other such “Feed the Poor" projects in the Klang valley this Hari Raya.
