The International Service Organiser (ISO) of the Inner Wheel Club of Butterworth, Jayaselvie Sundaran is a lawyer and mother of two working women professionals. In extending her hand of friendship as per the objectives of International Inner Wheel which includes ‘To Foster International Understanding’, she used one of the popular social media platforms and was able to connect with a number of ISOs from clubs in other districts.

Therefore, an understanding was reached and she exchanged bannerettes virtually with ISO Sugandha Jain of IWC Gaya Sunrise, District 325, India on 20th August 2021. Virtual discussions would be the next course of action for the time being given the travel restrictions in place. This is a milestone for IWC Butterworth as the two-year-old club is exchanging bannerettes with an overseas club for the first time ever virtually since its charter in 2019.

International Service Organiser Jayaselvie Sundaran went on International Inner Wheel’s Social Media Site and discovered yet another Club she chose to exchange bannerettes with.

ISO Niti Jain of the Inner Wheel Club of Ambala, District 308, India touched base with a beautifully prepared introductory letter. The two ladies then exchanged messages and then their club bannerettes in a virtual ceremony.

This method of connecting is common place now and well received by the ExCos and Members of both clubs. The COVID-19 pandemic has paved the way for very unique and creative ways of connecting Inner Wheel Clubs and Districts worldwide.
