‘Rubaru’ or Peace was a session with all the DISOs and ISOs present including Past Association President (PAP) Praba Raghunandan which they used to get to know each other better and shed light on the culture, tradition, places of interest and the cuisine of the participating nations. DISO Datin Pathma introduced her team of ISOs via a video presentation and also showcased Malaysian culture which included a clip of the fan dance and a talk about the Mid-Autumn or Moon Festival which is celebrated in Malaysia mainly by the Chinese Community. PAP Praba recited a poem, ‘Peace comes with Understanding, Understanding comes with Knowledge’.
The event was intended to convey unity and spread the message of ‘Peace together as One’. This was followed by Peace Messages from different countries and Peace Slogan posters by ISOs of District 325. The Chief Guest’s address was by Association President Saroj Katiyar who ended the event with a video presentation on religious prayers. Overall, everyone had a wonderful time in the spirit of International Understanding which is one of the three main aims of International Inner Wheel.
