Project for abused and abandoned parents, in conjunction with Orange the World
In line with Orange the World, Inner Wheel Club Of Kuala Lumpur City Centre in collaboration Inner Wheel Club of Zenith Chattogram District 345 Bangladesh brought cheer to the abandoned and neglected folks of the Pusat Jagaan dan Rawatan Orang Tua Al-Ikhlas in Puchong Selangor. This Home is situated in an old mosque and depends solely on charity.
We focused on providing groceries and medicines to the abandoned and neglected elderly parents, addressing a critical need. The Home is run by Puan Muji Bt Hj Sulaiman a retired nurse, who is a breast cancer survivor herself.
The Home houses about 43 elderly individuals who are documented as neglected by immediate family and lack any income. The Organising Chairman, Bibee Menga Din bought essentials as requested by the home.
It was a very positive and engaging experience between IWC KLCC and IWC Zenith Chattogram. The participants were so mobile and engaged, particularly during the lively karaoke and dancing session. The home was impressively clean, homely and relaxed and the herb garden interested the members. The IWC team had a good time dancing and bringing cheer to the old folks.
It was a very valuable and enriching way to spend the morning.
