Orange The World

The Inner Wheel Club of Bangsar held a meaningful “Orange the World – Picnic and and walk, at Kelana Jaya Park, bringing together members, families and friends. Hard to miss us in our bright orange to show solidarity in ending violence against women and girls. Our men too in shades of orange , side by side , together in purpose and support.

The event began with a warm welcome from President Rozina, followed by a cheerful group photo and a light warm-up before the ‘Walk in the Park’

Members enjoyed an informative quiz on women’s issues and perceived norms relating to violence of women and girls.

Hot Punjabi Masala Tea with our potluck picnic is always a wining combo after our mission walk around the lake.

A lovely highlight was the distribution of orange balloons and sweets to children by all members adding joy and visibility to the cause. Everyone then came together for a group reading of the “Orange the World” poem.

The gathering ended with members dancing to a short video reel.

A simple, heartfelt evening for awareness, fellowship and community spirit and most importantly making our stand to bring a change to the plight of women worldwide.
