Orange The World Programme

On 5 December 2025, IWC AS had one purpose - its very own Orange the World project at the iconic Alor Setar Tower.

Just as spirits were high, the skies opened and rain poured down in torrents, almost jealously trying to interrupt the Club’s efforts. But if the weather was a test, it could not defeat the members’ resolve. Despite starting late, the determination of the organising team and the participants never wavered.

Once the rain eased, the evening blossomed beautifully. Working hand in hand with the office of the State Councillor YB Dato’ Halimaton Shaadiah, the Mayor’s Office, and the tower’s management team, the evening comprised a speech by Organising Chairman, Padmini, who reminded why this global movement matters so deeply. This was followed by the launching address by YB Dato’ Halimaton, whose support added strength to the shared mission of OTW.

Participants enjoyed an invigorating Zumba session, followed by a 3 km brisk walk, a lucky draw, and finally, the moment everyone had been waiting for - the illumination of the Alor Setar Tower in a stunning orange glow, symbolising hope, unity, and a future without violence.

Around 200 proud Kedahans joined YB Dato’ Halimaton in declaring a powerful and collective NO to violence against women and children. Their presence, even in the rain, spoke louder than any slogan ever could.

IWC AS extends heartfelt thanks to its collaborating partners and to every individual who braved the weather to stand together for this crucial cause. On 5 December 2025, it was clear that when a community stands united, even the rain cannot dim any light and hope.
May this orange glow shine on as a reminder that every woman deserves to live in a world free from fear, and every child deserves a life filled with safety, dignity, and hope.

Together, we Orange the World.
