Orange the World Awareness Campaign
Kicking off OTW campaign in conjunction with "International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women and Children", IWC Apsaras came together to reflect on the value of life and the importance of protecting and empowering women and children. Members donned on their orange t-shirts and took to the streets in the neighbourhood to share awareness to the public. Wearing orange t-shirts is to show solidarity with survivors and commitment to ending violence.
We also imparted awareness about this campaign to homemakers in the neighbourhood. The excitement grew bigger and members continued their walk through a lush green canopy of trees.
A woman’s suffering is often quiet, hidden beneath her smile.
She may be a mother, a daughter, a sister, a friend, a partner—or simply a woman trying to survive in a world that demands so much from her and gives so little space for her to breathe.
Women carry burdens no one sees:
They endure expectations to be strong, gentle, patient, beautiful, capable—all at the same time.
Women hold families, workplaces, friendships, and communities together while nursing their own exhaustion.
They push through pain—physical, emotional, and mental.
They absorb heartbreak, financial worries, career pressures, and the loneliness of being the one who holds everything while no one holds them.
They fight battles no one applauds: keeping peace, carrying responsibility, picking up the pieces when life falls apart.
And yet .... despite the weight they bear, women rise.
Behind every woman is a story of survival—
not just as a mother, not just as a caretaker, but as a human being who has learned to carry her own storms while lighting the way for others.
💖 Strong women uplift.
❣ They protect.
❣ They encourage.
❣ They understand that when one woman rises, it opens the door for others.
Let us remember the resilience and strength of women and girls who have survived violence. May their stories inspire us to take action and work towards a world where every woman and girl can live with dignity and respect.
Let’s work together to create a culture of respect, empathy and understanding, where women and girls can live without fear of violence.
The walk was worth every step and made the day brighter. We concluded the event with shared fellowship and light refreshments.
Women’s power lies in integrity, grace and strength.
