7 Jun 2018. IWC Kuala Lumpur. Scholarship Programme: 10th Anniversary Celebrations of Awards. IWCKL jointly with SEGI University & Colleges, presented scholarships for the 3-years diploma studies to four promising young students. This is the 10th year that the Club has carried out this Scholarship Programme. To date, inclusive of this year's 4 students, a total of 43 students have been sponsored for the diploma studies.Click to view photos.   Click here to view full report.

28 Apr 2018 (Saturday). IWC Kuala Lumpur. Penang Flood Relief. President Monica had the opprtunity to visit recipients of the Flood Relief Fund. President Sally and Shirlyn, both of IWC Penang, organised an entertaining day out starting from 10 am. They visited: (1) Taman Free where an OKU and his wife who lost all in their ground floor flat. (2) an elderly Indian couple and their 10-year-old grand-daughter at Kg Pisang, Air Itam, and (3) a 106-year-old Chinese lady and her drug dependent son. Time was spent listening to their stories of strife and resilience. Dry provisions and a small cash donation were given. The elderly couple were given chicks which they could breed for sale. At a home in Police Barracks Phase One, a sofa was donated. At Shaik Madar, a kitchen cabinet was donated to a family. Interestingly, the daughters intend to join Inner Wheel. 19 Apr 2018 (Thursday). IWC Kuala Lumpur. Vaisakhi Fellowship. President Monica and non-sikh members were hosted to a sumptous buffet by our Sikh members at Sagar Restaurant. Donations were given to: PEC Pulapol, Sikh Welfare Association, Gurpuri Foundation and Nanak Food Kitchen. It was a great fellowship amongst ourselves and our Hon. Member YaBhg Toh Puan Datuk Seri Dr Hjh Aishah Ong. A true celebration of bounty and gratitude. Click to view photos.

18 Apr 2018 (Wednesday). IWC Kuala Lumpur. Caramel Day. Caramel Day is a President's Project. IWCKL collaborated with Zenith Media to bring a day of connecting engaging and providing donations to selected charities. This time round it is Little Sisters of the Poor. A Home for the aged, abandoned and infirmed. LSP houses them and provides community living. President Monica hosted a delectable Nasi Lemak for its 73 residents. Zenith Media presented a computer, printer, a sugee butter cake and 73 Ang Pows.IWCKL donated two 7L rice cookers, 2 toaster ovens, cheque of RM5,300, a basket of chocolate Easter eggs and 73 ang pows. After the presentation the team presented a line dance "Honky Tonk Woman". A buffet lunch was served and we sat with and made connections with the residents.Click to view photos.

6 Mar 2018 (Tuesday). IWC Kuala Lumpur. Cake and Candy Caramel Visit to MSRI, Ampang. 280 children of refugees of the Malaysian Social Research Institute, Ampang were treated to cake, muffins, chocolates, peanut butter spreads and candy. The Kinder children entertained us, then dove into the sugary stash. The older ones then joined in the sweets, candy and cake distribution. It was an invigorating morning spent with our Hon. Member YAM Tengku Puteri Puan Sri Nor Zehan. Delicacies were donated by IPP Harshinder, YaBhg Toh Puan DS Dr Hjh Aishah Ong and the Caramel fund. Muffins were donated by Ms Tan (Delux Foods). 28 Feb 2018 (Wednesday). IWC Kuala Lumpur. Chinese New Year Fellowship. The Chinese members hosted an elegant luncheon at Intercontinental Hotel Tao Chinese Restaurant. All members came dressed in Chinese inspired attire. Hon. Members YAM Tengku Puteri Puan Sri Nor Zehan and YaBhg Toh Puan Dr Hjh Aishah Ong graced the Fellowship. 11 Jan 2018 (Thursday). IWC Kuala Lumpur. International Inner Wheel Day. International Inner Wheel Day was celebrated with a luncheon at the Royal Selangor Club, Bukit Kiara, Kuala Lumpur, attended by 130 members from District 330, including DC Sakunthalai and Board Director Datin Pearl Jai Mohan. Also present were President of IWC Hyderabad Hitech and a member from Chichester UK. The theme was 'Live Green Today for a Better Tomorrow', in line with IIW President Dr Kapila Gupta's call to 'Leave a Lasting Legacy'.Click to view photos.

25 Jul 2017 (Tuesday). IWC IPOH EAST. First General Meeting 2017-2018. President Pakialetchumy held her first general meeting on 25 Jul. Focus was on the plans for the year. Preparations for the installation on 12 Aug was underway. Club dues were collected. DC's official visit confirmed. Many stayed on to chat till late in the night after the meeting. 15 Jul 2017 (Saturday). IWC KUALA LUMPUR. 69th Installation. The 69th Installation on July 15th was honoured by DC Shakunthalai at the Summit Ballroom VE Hotel, Bangsar South Kuala Lumpur. Guests of Honour, YAM Puan Sri Datin Seri Tengku Puteri Norzehan and YABhg Toh Puan Aishah Ong graced the dinner. The theme of Petals and Pearls symbolised the strength and grace of IW and was attended by 210 guests, sponsors and IWCKL members. Click to view photos.
