The Inner Wheel Club of Kuala Lumpur embarked on several Water Poverty Challenge Projects in Inner Wheel year 2020-2021 for Orang Asli villages. One of the target beneficiaries was the village of Kg Leleh, Pahang. Through the good offices of Dato’ CH Lee, son of District Extension Chairman Juanita Lee, the Inner Wheel Club of Kuala Lumpur and SMGB Group Sdn Bhd jointly organised the construction of two drill wells initiated in the 3rd quarter of 2020 in Kg Leleh, Pahang. The Inner Wheel Club of Kuala Lumpur and the Inner Wheel Club of Alor Setar jointly carried out a project to distribute water filters and other items to cancer survivors. IWCKL funded 14 units of the water filters and IWC Alor Setar deployed in their locale. On 23 June 2021, at 3 pm, President Mrs Caylize Sabado handed the water filters to Tunku Maziah binti Tunku Mukhtar at her residence. Read more and view photos. |
19 Jun 2021. Inner Wheel Club of Intan, Kuala Lumpur enjoys virtual visit by DC Shanti Menon. The ladies of IWC Intan, Kuala Lumpur, got together for a Zoom meeting with a special guest – District Chairman Shanti Menon! Each member introduced themselves to DC Shanti, who gave valuable advice to the Club, in addition to sharing news from District 330 and International Inner Wheel. Read more and view photos. |
17 Jun 2021. Inner Wheel Club of Subang Selangor. Channelling Food Donations. The continued MCO 3 is not easy for Malaysians as well as immigrant workers, though it is necessary to bring down the high numbers of COVID-19 cases. There is another sector who is in hardship, namely the refugees who have fled their home country and seeking asylum. Read more and view photos. |

6 Jun 2021. Inner Wheel Club of Taiping. DC meets Taiping members. The new norm now – Google Meet! We, the IWC Taiping members, had a pleasant hour or so – chatting with DC Shanti Menon. 6 Jun 2021. Inner Wheel Club of Butterworth. Basic counselling skills. Six members of IWC Butterworth led by President Daisy R Veluppillai, completed the Basic Counselling Skills workshop organised by Someone For Each One {SFEO} Programme. The SFEO project, an initiative by Pertubuhan Wanita Mutiara (PEM) in collaboration with Penang Association of Counsellors & Psychologists (PACP), is about establishing a support system manned by professionals and trained volunteers to help people with emotional and other mental health challenges. 3 Jun 2021. Inner Wheel Club of Kuala Lumpur donates to Malaysian Mental Health Assocation On 3 June 2021, at the 11th General Meeting of the Inner Wheel Club of Kuala Lumpur, President Caylize Sabado invited the Senior Vice-President of the Malaysian Mental Health Association (MMHA), Mr See Cheng Siang and the Executive Director, Ms Cheong Sue Jen, to receive a cheque of RM5,000 on behalf of MMHA. The Inner Wheel Club of Butterworth is in the process of adopting its second mentee under the Inner Wheel Care and Education (ICE) Programme. Assigned mentors IPP Lucy Barrock and Charter Member Aasha Nambiar virtually connected on Thursday 3 June 2021 with fifteen year old Arvina Niega and put in place the formal process of taking her under the club’s wing and giving her educational aid. District Chairman's Official Online Visit It was indeed a special day for the Inner Wheel Club of Alor Setar when we finally managed to meet District Chairman, Mrs Shanti Menon. 24 May 2021. Inner Wheel Club of Kuala Lumpur. empowering indigenous women in sustainable farming. With the completion of the three wells funded by the Inner Wheel Club of Kuala Lumpur for the three indigenous villages, Kampung Sekupang, Kampung Baret and Kampung Jabik are now in an excellent position for the Club to implement sustainable farming to uplift their livelihood. The Inner Wheel Club of Kuala Lumpur completed the construction of wells within two months for three Orang Asli villages in the state of Pahang – Kampung Sekupang, Kampung Baret and Kampung Jabik. Kindness Malaysia is an NGO with mission is to instil kindness in every heart and soul and make the world a better place to live in. During Ramadhan, the Kindness Malaysia branch in Alor Setar served breakfast meals to the hungry. The Inner Wheel Club of Alor Setar contacted Kindness Malaysia and offered to be the main sponsor of a breakfast meal. Read more and view photos. |
On the morning of 21 May 2021, Inner Wheel Club of Kuantan/Indera Mahkota (IWC KIM) delivered 200 packets of food to the frontliners of Hospital Tengku Ampuan Afzan (HTAA) and Dewan Jubli Perak, Kuantan. 20 May 2021. Inner Wheel Club of Subang Selangor. Hari Raya Cheer 2021. While the rage of the virus continues, Hari Raya celebration was a low key affair confined to individual homes. Visiting the Orang Asli settlements located in the State of Perak was not an easy task, especially with the spike in COVID-19 cases and also the controlled movements recently,. 15 May 2021. Inner Wheel Club of Subang Selangor. Hand sanitisers for charity. In conjunction with the recent Mother’s Day celebration, IWCSS collaborated with MySkills Foundation by securing their ‘Hand Sanitisers for Charity’ which are being sold in bottles of 100 ml and 500 ml. While the virus continued to tighten its grip with escalating COVID-19 cases, the Inner Wheel Club of Ipoh East continues to help the community by making and giving face shields especially to those exposed on a daily basis with numerous people. Read more and view photos. |
The Inner Wheel Club of Kuala Lumpur held a hybrid 10th General Meeting on 6th May, 2021 by virtual Zoom and concurrently held at District Extension Chairman Juanita Lee’s residence. With the much awaited Hari Raya Aidilfitri barely a fortnight away, Inner Wheel Club of Ipoh East Treasurer and Organising Chairman Norizan Shaari organised a “Majlis Berbuka Puasa”, an event to observe the breaking of fast during the fasting month of Ramadan for the children of Yayasan Amanah An-Nur Maisarah. This home located in the small town of Chemor, about half an hour's drive from Ipoh city, is home to 50 orphaned or destitute children aged between 18 months to 18 years. Read more and view photos. |
Dato' Dr Madhuri Majumder is the Honorary Member of the Inner Wheel Club Ipoh East (IWCIE) and a recipient of the Margarette Golding Award. As one in her golden years, she is the epitome of what Inner Wheel members stand for. 28 Apr 2021. Inner Wheel Club of Kuala Lumpur gives financial aid to 20 students. Financial aid for students is an annual project of the Inner Wheel Club of Kuala Lumpur. 25 Apr 2021. Inner Wheel Club of Butterworth. Inaugural meeting of IWC Azul. The Inner Wheel Club of Butterworth, with President Daisy at its helm, has successfully concluded the journey to form a next generation club, the Inner Wheel Club of Azul of District 330. This is the first new generation club in the north of District 330 in West Malaysia. It is set up to encourage young women between 18 and 35 years of age to join Inner Wheel. The Inner Wheel Club of Butterworth in collaboration with the State's Village And Development Committee (MPKK) of Taman Sri Rambai Fasa 1, has set up a Children’s Library at the Desa Wawasan Flats in Bukit Mertajam. 24 Apr 2021. Inner Wheel Club of Butterworth. Induction of new member and fellowship. The Inner Wheel Club of Butterworth held its New Members’ Induction and Fellowship Night on Saturday, 24th April 2021 at the Light Hotel, Seberang Jaya. 10 Apr 2021. Inner Wheel Club of Taiping. Empowering women in business. The coronavirus pandemic has created great uncertainties in the lives of the vast majority of the B40 group who are desperate for survival. How can we help? Inner Wheel Club of Taiping, led by Toh Puan Datin Norisha Abdul Rahman, decided to take action and launched a project in collaboration with Pertubuhan Wanita Ikhlas Taiping Perak (PWITP) and Gerak Bumi Hijau (GBH), and with funding by Yayasan Hasanah. The project undertook the training of 30 ladies in the basics of cake and bread making, and cooking various rice dishes, as a business. Read more and view photos. |
9 Apr 2021. Inner Wheel Club of Alor Setar. Fellowship Breakfast and Fun Games. In keeping with the first objective of Inner Wheel, i.e., to promote true friendship, IPP Padmini hosted a potluck breakfast at her home in Jitra on Friday, 9 April 2021. Also in the agenda were an Inner Wheel Quiz, a Garden Treasure Hunt and Gift Exchange. Members began arriving laden with food and gifts, and soon, the breakfast spread looked fit for a king. 8 Apr 2021. Inner Wheel Club of Penang. Joining Lighthouse Centre to battle hunger. Members of the Inner Wheel Club of Penang were at the Lighthouse Centre on the 8 April, 2021. This is a club project to feed the poor, homeless and destitute in the streets in Penang. The crowd will stream to the centre daily to receive free food from various donors and NGOs. 6 Apr 2021. Inner Wheel Club of Kuala Lumpur. Easter at the Convent of the Holy Infant Jesus Home. On a Tuesday morning, President Caylize Sabado paid a visit to The Convent Holy Infant Jesus Home located in Cheras together with a contingent of 9 other IWCKL members. This home houses 29 retired nuns ranging in age from 75 to 95 years old. Read more and view photos. |
28 Mar 2021. Inner Wheel Club of Ipoh East. Monthly meeting and AGM. The Inner Wheel Club of Ipoh East held a luncheon for members in MU hotel, Ipoh followed by the Monthly Meeting and AGM on 28 March 2021. The monthly meeting and AGM was well attended. 26 Mar 2021. Inner Wheel Club of Alor Setar. Third AGM. IWC AS held its third AGM today at 10:30AM at the KIA Hall, Alor Setar. Attended by 15 members, the highlight of the AGM was the election of the Executive Committee for Inner Wheel year 2021-2022. Dr Pavitratha was unanimously elected President with Tunku Zamharir as Vice-President. President Munirah presented every member with a lovely gift as a token of appreciation for the cooperation and fellowship amongst all members. Read more and view photos. |
25 Mar 2021. Inner Wheel Club of Kuala Lumpur North. Aid to Than Hsiang Mitra, home for the elderly. On 25 March, President Diana Wong and her spouse Yow Seng, represented IWC Kuala Lumpur North to provide items to Persatuan Kebajikan Than Hsiang Mitra Malaysia, a home which houses the aged. The IWC of Bangsar held their 6th General Meeting for Inner Wheel year 2020-2021 on 20 March 2021, chaired by President Jasbir Kaur in the presence of District Chairman (DC) Shanti Menon. The members had a beneficial dialogue session with DC Shanti. A new member, Prema Mudaliar, was inducted and two potential members were received as guests. Then, President Diana Wong extended a warm welcome to the DC. Thereafter, the meeting commenced in line with the Agenda. 13 Mar 2021. Inner Wheel Club of Alor Setar. Blood Donation Campaign. In the COVID-19 pandemic we are experiencing now, most hospitals are facing a shortage of blood supply. The Inner Wheel Club of Alor Setar collaborated with the Blood Bank of Alor Setar to help organise a blood donation campaign at the MARA College in Kuala Nerang, Kedah. Read more and view photos. |
12 Mar 2021. Inner Wheel Club of Kuantan/Indera Mahkota. Giving aid to women in incarceration. In conjunction with International Women’s Day, IWC Kuantan/Indera Mahkota was given a platform to participate in the Sanitary Pads Programme for Women Inmates in Bentong Prison, Pahang. We embarked on this project upon learning that the inmates were using sanitary pads that were cut into so as to have more to use. Read more and view photos. |
9 Mar 2021. Inner Wheel Club of Kuantan/Indera Mahkota. 34th Club Annual General Meeting. The 34th AGM of the Club was held successfully at AC Hotel, Kuantan and a new board of Executive members was elected for the Inner Wheel year 2021-2022. There were 13 members present for the meeting. A new member, Tengku Idzariah bt Tengku Kamarulzaman, was inducted. The club also celebrated Tengku Idza’s birthday after the AGM. Read more and view photos. |

This day, the 8th March of each year is a special date when we celebrate and acknowledge globally the struggles and achievement of women from all walks of life in economic, political, social and cultural settings. 4 Mar 2021. Inner Wheel Club of Kuala Lumpur. 8th General Meeting and Induction of Ms Vivienne Loh. On 4 March 2021 at 2 PM, during the 8th General Meeting of the Inner Wheel Club of Kuala Lumpur, the President Caylize Sabado inducted another new member, Ms Vivienne Loh. With her induction, the club has officially recorded 11 new members in the last nine months. It was indeed an excellent effort by President Caylize. Congratulations and well done once again! 3 Mar 2021. Inner Wheel Club of Bangsar. Garden day: fellowship outing. The IWC of Bangsar organised an outdoor activity visiting the Sungai Buloh nurseries, for shopping and exchanging of plants on 3 March 2021. It was a fellowship outing to restore any physiological and psychological stress due to the long COVID-19 lock-down period. Read more and view photos. |
The IWC of Bangsar had their 5th General Meeting on 27 February 2021 at RSC Bukit Kiara Club. It was a collision of two major activities of the club which was Chinese New Year 2021 celebration and donation of essential stuff to the Parish of Integral Human Development Ministry (PIHDM) of Kuala Lumpur in support of the Urban Poor Programme. 25 Feb 2021. Inner Wheel Club of Subang Selangor. Back To School Project. Schools nationwide finally reopens in the first week of March 2021 after the Restricted Movement Control Order (RMCO), Conditional MCO and followed by MCO. The worries of parents rushing to get them ready is a financial burden for the lower income group. And sure enough, our club received a plea for assistance from the families at Mentari Flats in Petaling Jaya. Read more and view photos. |
12 Feb 2021. Inner Wheel Club of Ipoh East. Making face shields to protect and save lives. The COVID-19 Pandemic has taught us many things. In particular, it has taught us to be helpful and resourceful. The Inner Wheel Club of Ipoh East decided to embark on a project to make face shields for distribution to the frontliners and the needy. 9 Feb 2021. Inner Wheel Club of Butterworth. Chinese New Year Projects President Daisy of IWC Butterworth and a few committee members distributed ang-pow worth RM 88 each and groceries to eleven students of SK Convent Bukit Mertajam from B-40 households. Club Secretary Shanthi Shanmugam, a former teacher at High School Bukit Meterjam (HSBM) together with Treasurer Santhi Sundra and IPP Lucy Barrock handed out red packets to 8 students of HSBM. 20 Jan 2021. Inner Wheel Club of Subang Selangor. Assistance for the Unfortunate. With the new year 2021, most of us hoped for a return to normalcy but alas, this was not to be. We saw an upward trend in COVID-19 cases and MCO (Movement Control Order) is now implemented in 6 states including Selangor. On 15 January, in spite of the Movement Control Order (MCO) implemented by the government, we did a meaningful project headed by President Diana Wong who sent provision to the P J Caring home. This meeting was organised by President Caylize Sabado. 26 Dec 2020. Inner Wheel Club of Butterworth. Monthly meeting, Christmas fellowship and potluck. Members of IWC Butterworth had their last monthly meeting for the year 2020 and Christmas fellowship with potluck at PP Lucy’s residence. President Daisy organised a gift exchange session and those attending surprised IPP Lucy with a birthday cake and gifts for her 60th birthday. The ladies enjoyed themselves immensely. View photos. |
22 Dec 2020. Inner Wheel Club of Kuala Lumpur. Christmas Project at Kampong Kabang, Pahang. At 6 AM in the morning of 22 December 2020, the President of the Inner Wheel Club of Kuala Lumpur, Mrs Caylice Sabado took a day trip. Together with the Malaysian Red Crescent (MRC) and several other NGOs, they travelled on 9 four-wheel pick-up trucks and headed up to the north of Kuala Lumpur to visit Kampong Kabang, 124 km away, to carry out a Christmas project for 48 Orang Asli families. 20 Dec 2020. Inner Wheel Club of Klang. Charity of life kindness. IWC Klang President Kathini strongly believes that "Giving is the Best Therapy". Hence, she led the members in a project named "charity of life kindness". President Karthini coordinated with Saint Anne's Church, Port Klang and it's priest, Rev. Msgr Mitchel Anthony Joseph, to prepare Christmas grocery gift bags for 15 needy families who were badly affected by COVID-19. 19 Dec 2020. Inner Wheel Club of Taiping. Back to school vouchers. On 19 December 2020, IWC Taiping collaborated with PWIT and contributed BACK TO SCHOOL vouchers to 5 deserving children. The vouchers were for uniforms and shoes. Read more, view photos. |

19 Dec 2020. Inner Wheel Club of Subang Selangor. Security Enhancements for RPS Shelter Home, Klang. One of IWCSS sustainable and signature project of this term is the RPS Shelter Home. This home gives temporary shelter to women and children who have left their homes due to abuse and neglect. The Home Manager, Shoba Aiyar is a qualified counsellor and provides sufficient support and counselling and help the individual/family to decide on their next move. It is thus a safe haven. The year 2020 is coming to the end and though it has been a difficult year for all, it has certainly set us to reflect that we are all in the same boat. Sharing and caring is our resolute to stay strong. With this in mind, we had a beautiful Christmas Cheer for the Pakistani Refugees who come under UNHCR (United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees), in Kajang. 12 Dec 2020. Inner Wheel Club of Ipoh East. Christmas cheers for Good Shepherd Family Home. The Inner Wheel Club of Ipoh East shared the Christmas spirit with children of Good Sheperd Family Home when President Jaya Ranjitham, OC Anne Edwin and her team members visited them. The founder of the Home, Madam Jeniffer Arokiam said that the Home currently has 24 girls within the ages of 1 to 18 years of age staying in. Read more and view photo. |
On 9 December 2020, President Karthini and members of the Inner Wheel Club of Klang initiated a community service project called Enhancing School Clinic. SRJK(T) Durian Tunggal in Malacca was badly affected by floods in early December 2020. IWC Klang was instrumental to help repair and refurbish the school clinic by contributing RM1500 to buy new furniture, medical supplies and equipment to cater to the 250 pupils of the school. On the 5 December 2020, IWC Taiping spent a lovely afternoon with children from Crystal Home, Taiping at the Muntri Cafe Taiping. We had lunch from a wide delectable spread of Malaysian cuisine. Yayasan Sultanah Bahiyah (YSB) informed Inner Wheel Club of Alor Setar that we have been successful in securing a second financial grant and a box of sanitizers. 26 Nov 2020. Inner Wheel Club of Alor Setar. Pre-loved clothings for soup kitchen patrons. The Inner Wheel Club of Alor Setar has helped at the THB Soup Kitchen in Alor Setar a few times by sponsoring and assisting in the preparation and distribution of meals to about 150 regular and hungry patrons. One thing that our members noticed was that most of the patrons often looked bedraggled, with worn-out clothes on their backs. Members were stirred into action and a call for pre-loved clothes resulted in more than a collection of 10 boxes of clothing to be given away to these special people. Read more and view photos. |

Masks have been distributed to the Sentul Refuge School, Rumah Kebajikan Anbu Illam for the boys in Gombak, Persatuan Kebajikan dan Penjagaan Kanak-kanak istimewa, Kuala Lumpur and Sri Aathi Sankara Thirumadam in Ampang Permai where young boys and girls attend religious classes. IWC Kuantan Indera Mahkota’s 5th monthly meeting was held at AC Hotel, Kuantan with 14 members attending. Due to the Covid 19 pandemic, a pre Deepavail Fellowship was organized simultaneously. 7 Nov 2020. Inner Wheel Club of Klang. Lighting up Deepavali celebration for B40 families. IWC Klang had joined hands with Malaysian Hindu Dharma Mamandram to organise a visit to Jenjarom, Banting. The project was carried out to help B40 category families who were badly affected by the Covid – 19 pandemic related issues. Grocery goods worth RM1200 were contributed to 10 families hoping to ease their financial constraints especially with Deepavali festival around the corner. In conjunction with Deepavali, members of IWC Kuantan/Indera Mahkota got together and packed some essentials grocery items as a contribution to 10 needy families. In the wee hours of the morning of 4 November 2020, Seremban was hit by flash floods affecting hundreds of residents and an animal shelter. The 5th General Meeting on the 5 November 2020 was a significant day for the Inner Wheel Club of Kuala Lumpur, as it was the official visit of the District Chairman, Mrs Shanti Menon. A string of events were carefully planned by our Organising Chairman, Datin Gerardine Ng, with the theme entitled “Nyonya Gembira”. Since the outbreak of COVID-19, violence against women and girls, particularly domestic violence, has intensified. President Karthini of IWC of Klang and members initiated a webinar in conjunction of International Women’s Day on the Elimination of Violence Against Women. The webinar was well attended by 22 participants. Guest speaker Ms. Shoba Ayer from National Council of Women’s Organisation spoke on prevention and improve life-saving services for women and girls. 19 Oct 2020. Inner Wheel Club of Alor Setar donates masks to Pokok Sena Prison. As we know, for the past few months, Kedah has been hit by an exponential and unprecedented spike in Covid-19 cases, from the Sivagangga cluster to Sungai cluster to Sintok cluster and now the Tembok cluster. IWCAS was given special permission to make the journey to the Pokok Sena prison that had sent out an appeal for three-ply face masks. Read more and view photos. |

President Daisy led members in a joint project with the Rotary Club of Kerian at Cheers Ray Care Centre, Bukit Mertajam. The club contributed a month’s supply of provisions and RC Kerian contributed books, The 28 children were treated to pizza, garlic bread and soft drinks. The Inner Wheel Club of Kuala Lumpur carried out their first Water Poverty Challenge Project at Kampung Pos Semoi, Lenjang on 18-20 September, 2020, Pahang. President Caylice Sabado, together with some club members, guests and NGOs travelled in 20 four-wheel drive vehicles into the interior parts of the jungle to reach the Orang Asli settlement. The journey took them about 5 hours through some muddy, rocky and hilly roads and at times crossing streams, before reaching the destination. Read more and view photos. 10 Sep 2020. Inner Wheel Club of Subang Selangor. Aid to Rumah Perlindungan Sosial, a shelter. Rumah Perlindungan Sosial was set up in Klang in February 1996 and is a joint project of the National Council of Women’s Organisations and the YWCA of Malaysia. Over the years, it has provided holistic help for women, children and teenagers in crisis: victims of domestic violence, single mothers, unwed mothers, rape survivors, abused children and runaway teens. Medical aid for Klang Ekliptic Children’s Centre This Medical Aid project was inspired after the club paid a visit to the Klang Ekliptic Children’s Centre on the 9 August, 2020. President Caylize Sabado noticed that a number of residents there suffering from severe skin problem. Moved with compassion, she quickly contacted her friend Dr Ong Hin, a skin specialist who is currently practicing in Raub, Pahang, to offer treatment to the residents at this centre. A scholarship was awarded to Bawanisri under the Inner Wheel Care & Educate (ICE) Programme of District 330. This programme is a tie up with the Rotary Education Fund by Rotary Club of Bukit Kiara Sunrise. The objective of the ICE Programme is to mentor and make a positive difference in a student’s live, thereby, uplifting an underprivileged family. The club will sponsor Bawanisri’s monthly expenses with a small consideration until she leaves for higher education. The award was held in conjunction with the Club's AGM. The ladies of IWC Intan happily reunited for their first face-to-face meeting at PP Ning's house, which was filled with food, fellowship and exciting plans for the rest of the year. 12 Aug 2020. Inner Wheel Club of Klang. Visit to the Young Women's Christian Association (YWCA). The YWCA is a shelter home for abused young women and children located at Taman Chi Liung, Klang. President Karthini took the effort with Inner Wheel Club of Klang members to visit the home to offer help. IWC Klang contributed RM500 worth of daily household goods. President Karthini also learned that YWCA needs help to coach the children and also job opportunities for the young women staying in the shelter. IWC Klang members participated in the Clean & Green Explorace task organised by Dun Sentosa to clean and refurbish the 4.7 acre of Bandar Botanic Klang recreational park. President Karthini and members participated in this project to create awareness on the importance of cleanliness of our park so that the public could spend safe and quality time there. On 12 August 2020, President Karthini of Inner Wheel Club of Klang had a meeting with the headmaster and staff of SRJK (T) Sepang to discuss and plan the feasibility of an online education programme for the school. It was a fruitful session as it generated awareness and importance of such a programme. Following this, the Online Education Programme will kickstart in November 2020. IWC Kuala Lumpur President Caylize Sabado led 14 members to a visit at the BRDB-Rotary Children’s Residence (BRCR) at Sri Kembangan. There are about 81 children including caretakers residing in this home, which is currently operated through generous donations from the public and the "sponsor a child" programme. The ninth stop and fourth of the day in the Amazing Race was at IQ70Plus Persatuan Kebajikan Kanak Kanak Terencat Akal Malaysia, Bukit Gasing, Petaling Jaya. President Caylize Sabado presented 240 Massimo buns, two 3-litre bottles of Lady's Choice coleslaw, two 2.5-litre bottles of Lady's Choice marmalade, two 2-kg bottles of Lady's Choice Caesar dressing, 3 boxes of face masks to the 70 children of IQ70Plus. She made a presentation of 180 Massimo buns, a 3-litre bottle of Lady's Choice coleslaw, a 2.5-litre bottle of Lady's Choice marmalade, a 2-kg bottle of Lady's Choice Caesar dressing, and 10 boxes of almond powder nutritional drink for the 45 residents of the home. 18 Jul 2020. Inner Wheel Club of Subang Selangor. Installation 2020-2021. The Installation of President Indira Menon and the Executive Committee 2020-2021, although not held on a grand scale as originally planned, turned out to be a regal and meaningful afternoon for all who attended at Qureshi Restaurant at TPC, Bukit Kiara. District Chairman Shanti Menon, also a club member, was Guest of Honour. The hitea was fabulous with a sumptuous spread. 10 Jul 2020. Inner Wheel Club of Alor Setar. Tunku Munirah leads as President of IWY2020-2021. 2019-2020 term ended with the last meeting, handover and a BBQ hosted by the Immediate Past President, Padmini, at her home on 2 July 2020. Seventeen of the 18 members attended the meet with two new candidate recruits. After the meeting, the files were handed over to the new ExCo and President Tunku Munirah received the President’s Collarette from Outgoing President Padmini. Guest of Honour, District Chairman Shanti Menon accompanied District Vice-Chairman Shamini Nair witnessed the collaret handover of Immediate Past President Lucy to President Daisy. President Daisy then introduced the Executive Committee for the year 2020-2021. The function ended with a positive note for the coming year with fellowship and a delightful high tea. 4 Jul 2020. Inner Wheel Club of Subang, Selangor. Installation District Exco IWY 2020-2021. IWC Subang, Selangor is honoured to have been able to host the installation of the District Chairman and her Executive Committee on 4 July 2020. It was indeed a joyous and proud affair to witness our Charter members and Past Presidents, Shanti Menon and Sumodini Nair being installed as District Chairman and District International Service Organiser respectively. The event which was planned to be a quiet affair with a handful of district past and present members and no club members till the 16th of June got the green light on the 18th to be held in a bigger scale as the government relaxed imposed restrictions. 4 Jul 2020. Inner Wheel Club of Ipoh East. AGM and Exco Meeting. Members attended the Annual General Meeting for IWY 2019–2020 on at the Perak Malayalee Association chaired by outgoing President Prema Nair. The meeting was well attended by eager members after the hiatus caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. Upon handing over, President Jaya Ranjitham Samuel officially took charge and conducted the first Executive Committee meeting. She shared her ideas and plans for projects with enthusiastic committee members who wished her good luck with promises of full support for the coming year. Click here to view photos. |
2 Jul 2020. Inner Wheel Club of Taiping. Installation and handover After the long Movement Control Order. members joyously greeted each other - ate aplenty and laughed till late evening. Outgoing President Viji handed the regalia to President Sugguna. Cameras clicked away. Speeches were made from nostalgic memories of the World Inner Wheel Day celebration in Taiping to new Standard Operating Procedure, plans and projects. The evening ended with more kilos tummied in and birthdays celebrated. Turkish bread dipped into spicy chicken curry, cakes, local pastries and American pastries. Until we ladies meet again. 2 Jul 2020. Inner Wheel Club of Kuala Lumpur. Ice-cream project at Paediatric Oncology Ward, UMMC. This annual project is fully sponsored by Past President Datin Linda Koay. Project Coordinator Past President Margaret Yee reported that 10 cartons of 24 cups will be supplied every six to eight weeks to the Paediatric Oncology Ward of University Malaya Medical Centre. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic restrictions, President Caylize Sabado and members could not personally deliver and visit the children. Instead, the supply was delivered directly to the hospital. 30 Jun 2020. Inner Wheel Club of Selangor. Handover cum dinner. The handover meeting and fellowship was held at the Grand Millennium Hotel on 30.06.2020. Despite these trying and challenging times caused by the pandemic, the ladies rose to the challenge and met up after a long time (with masks and sanitisers). Outgoing President Jasbir Kaur and her Exco welcomed incoming President Prema and her Exco. Documents and regalia were exchanged. Photographs were taken and it was a night of laughter and camaraderie, even with social distancing. IWCS proved once again that Inner Wheel is all for one and one for all. Handing Over - President Karthini takes over The handing over ceremony and last meeting of Inner Wheel year 2019-2020 was held at the Hugs With Mugs Restaurant, hosted by outgoing President Saraswathy Varaden on 27 June 2020. The meeting was well attended and members welcomed incoming President Karthini and her executive committee.
