The Inner Wheel Club of Ipoh East held an event called the Palliative Care Sunshine Hour on 12th of April 2023 from 2pm to 4pm at the Perak Palliative Care Society. On 10th of April 2023, the Inner Wheel Club of Kuala Lumpur City Centre (IWC KLCC) conducted a Hari Raya Aidil Fitri Project. Club Treasurer Bibee Menga Din together with two other members, Club ISO Vicky Changi and CC Jessy Jit went to the Rumah Jagaan dan Rawatan Orang Tua Al- Ikhlas in Puchong to spread Hari Raya cheer to the forty-five residents there in line with the ongoing Festive-Cheer Projects. 28 Mar 2023. Inner Wheel Club of Subang Selangor. A story of animal rescue. It was an article in the local newspaper that prompted IPP Indira Menon to track down Fauziah of Fauziah Care Paws. The article described a nightmare situation for a large number of stray dogs that had been rounded up and placed in the most inhumane conditions in a pound owned by the council. 13 Feb 2023. Inner Wheel Club of Subang Selangor. Turkey earthquake - doing our bit. When the earthquake hit Kahramanmaras in Turkey, as always Malaysians responded with generosity and kindness. With winter temperatures below 15 degrees what the victims wanted were warm coats, blankets and winter wear. The Turkish Embassy was inundated with donated clothes that was not suitable for the cold. IWCKL was very proud and happy with the Club’s earlier contributions in July 2021 of 95 units of water flter to Kampung Leleh and the boring of 14 wells thereby, providing water storage. It is customary for the Inner Wheel Club of Kuala Lumpur North (IWC KL North) to seize the opportunity festivals present to celebrate with marginalised and underprivileged communities and this Deepavali was no different. IWC KL North's members Saro, Meena and her spouse visited the Sivananda Home to continue to spread festive cheer to the home with 23 young boys resident there. The twenty-third Installation of the Inner Wheel Club of Klang (IWC Klang) was held at Mitra Hall, Bandar Parklands, Klang on 8th October 2022. The 4th of October saw a joint project between Inner Wheel Club of Kuala Lumpur City Centre (IWC KLCC) and Inner Wheel Club of Kuala Lumpur North (IWC KL North) in collaboration with several departments of the Ampang Government Hospital come to fruition. The Paediatric Dietetics as well as Obstetrics and Gynaecology Departments of the hospital also took part in the event. Thirty paediatric participants and their parents were given talks. The above event was held on the 4th of Oct 2022 in the Auditorium of Hospital Ampang and was attended by Hospital and Klinik Kesihatan staff members, a total of 30 paediatric patients and their parents as well as pregnant mums from the community. This Rally was originally planned for May 2021 but had to be postponed twice due to the Covid pandemic and Movement Control Order (MCO). On 7th August 2022, 22 members of the Inner Wheel Club of Kuala Lumpur (IWCKL), headed by President Jinny Lum made a 4-hour journey to Kampung Jong, Pahang to view the fruits of their 2-year labour. Timely relief and aid for flood victims in Baling, Kedah On Monday 4 July 2022, torrential downpour saw several villages in the Baling District (in Kedah, the home state of Inner Wheel Club of Alor Setar [IWC AS]) being quickly submerged within a few hours. Waves of muddy water and fallen trees that were swept down from a nearby hill, resulted in more than 85 homes being completely destroyed. Read more and view photos. |
